Why the over 50 crowd doesn’t like the gym?

“It’s boring”

“I don’t know what I’m doing”

“Full of young and fit people”

“It’s intimidating”

In the last couple of years I have talked to at least one person a day about their fitness journey,

and I noticed some patterns:

Most people need guidance on how to exercise properly, work around their injuries and find solutions that work for them.

They want to exercise around other people just like them.

They also want to know that it is possible to get fit, to build strength without being huge (their words, not mine – in reality it takes a LOT of time to gain huge muscles)

They want specificity to their situation. Someone who can relate.

In a commercial gym often times people get a generic programme but the execution is down to the person.

Whereas if you have a booked session with more people together on a regular basis, it means you’re turning up not just for yourself but other people too.

It’s one of the main reasons why people fall out of the gym and especially strength training.

Lack of accountability, no progression, and no community.

Some might go back to their old routine and do what they’re comfortable but not necessarily what is needed.

The Training Unity approach addresses all of these:

  • Small groups and coached sessions
  • All around strength, mobility and fitness for over 50’s
  • Tailored exercises and programme
  • Individual consultation to support nutrition, recovery, and exercise management
  • Community to cheer you on
  • Private gym for members only
  • Coaches with life and personal training experience

8 people already have said yes to our next 6 Weeks Kickstarter starting in January.

The only way to get started is to having a chat with us.

The first initial conversation is key for both of us to get to know each other.

I only have a couple of open spots for a friendly chat before the New Year.

First comes first served.
