We’re conditioned to get everything so easy.

In this modern, technology driven world everything comes with a click of a finger. This leads to people moving less, being more depressed and more disconnected than ever before.

One thing I noticed about myself, whenever a difficulty arises I adapt to the situation. No, I haven’t got everything figured out and I still like to think that I’m just getting started and I’m learning everyday.

When I moved to this country years ago, I knew I wanted to get into fitness and help people to move better, train smarter and ultimately have an awesome life as a result of that. With the belief in myself,  I constantly upgraded both my knowledge and my attitude to do my job more efficiently. Is it perfect? Far from it. But I can tell you that it’s much better than a year ago and all those years ago.

Why am I sharing this?

Because it relates to fitness in many ways.

Getting started is the hardest thing to do and the scariest too. However, there is no perfect scenario, life happens, whether you want it or not. So avoiding stress is not the answer. It’s about managing stress to make things simpler for us.

One of my favorite saying comes from a Chinese proverb and it goes like this:

“Training is like sweeping the floor. Just because we’ve done it once it doesn’t mean the floor is clean forever. Every day the dust comes back. Every day we must sweep. “

You can of course use this analogy for many other things, nutrition, sleeping, food preparation, mindfulness etc. You need better systems and not just another program.
